What Can I Do Now?

What Can I Do Now?

In our business, I hear from many distraught animal lovers who may have just lost their best friend.  If it's a phone call, I can tell from their voice how difficult the moment is... and it still can choke me up sometimes too.  We've all been through it... given the short life span of these wonderful companions... and there's no easy way to fix it.

But what can we actually do to help sooth the pain?  Since we all grieve in our own ways and in our own time, we have to find what works for us.  I found some helpful suggestions from Enid Traisman's blog post about World Pet Memorial Day.  Enid runs the pet loss support program at the Dove Lewis Emergency Clinic in Portland, OR.
